Canada invests more in its education system per capita than any other G-8 country and is among the top three countries in the OECD. Degrees from Canadian universities are recognized globally, leading to successful and prosperous careers for graduates. Renowned for high standards, safe campuses, and educational excellence, Canadian institutions are at the forefront of the information technology revolution, ensuring students are well-prepared for the 21st century. Canadian degrees are equivalent to American degrees, and the wide choice of schools includes major research institutions and small liberal arts colleges offering a range of undergraduate, graduate, and professional programs.
Many universities offer opportunities beyond ordinary degrees through international exchanges, co-op work-experience programs, extracurricular activities, and athletics. Co-op programs allow students to combine academic semesters with work terms related to their degrees. Canadian universities and colleges excel in sports, and the country is a world leader in software development, telecommunications, aerospace engineering, biotechnology, and more. With 90 universities and 150 colleges and technical institutes, students can find a wide range of programs and excellent professors, scientists, and artists. Outstanding facilities, including first-class libraries, sports facilities, and advanced technology, make Canada an ideal study destination. More than 90 universities span the country, which offers the highest quality of life according to the United Nations.
